Service to Others
Since 2012 there have been six Alrick Brown Memorial Scholarships awarded to graduating high school seniors in Connecticut and abroad in Jamaica. Alrick Brown was a longtime Windsor resident and a Windsor Adult Education student who lived a full and spiritual life. He treasured his family and friends and was always positive no matter the situation. One deserving high school completion student enrolled in the Windsor Adult Education program will be awarded the Alrick Brown Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $500 to be used for post-secondary education. The Brown family is awarding this scholarship to honor Alrick, his life, and to keep his memory alive. The ideal candidate will possess many of the characteristics and qualities that Alrick exhibited in his life. For more information and to apply, please contact Mayela Aguirre-Ernest at: maguirre@windsorct.org or 860-687-2000, ext. 1273.

Alrick George Brown
Alrick George Brown (August 10, 1974 - July 21, 2012) established Alrick's Landscaping in 2004, based on Christian principles. As a proud founder and entrepreneur, Alrick worked extremely hard and was dedicated to his company, to see it grow from a one man crew into several employees and multiple crew members. Alrick made great friends, built a well-established client-base, and partnered with several business associates who helped propelled his company into an even bigger successful one.
Alrick had great passion for his work and he loved his clients and his equipment. Everyone had nothing but great admiration for him. But when Alrick passed away, his business was passed down to his brother who continued to manage the company today with the same vision and enthusiasms to promoting strong growth, quality service, philanthropy, and industry respect. This foundation was created by his family in his honor.

"My daughter Tris Ann Rose was a proud recipient of the Alrick Brown scholarship fund at the Missions Possible Community Church last August. Because of the sponsorship she received, I was able to equip her with all her books and tuition fees for back to school. Since then, she has been doing very well. Her first term report was very successful and we both appreciate the help. Thanks again for the kind gesture! Continue to shape, impact, and change lives."
TRIS ANN ROSE
The decision to study abroad 5 yrs. ago was a step of faith that challenged me to trust God. The journey through my academic success would not have been made possible except for the financial and motivational assistance through the Alrick Brown Scholarship Foundation. His legacy has been a blessing that will impact generations to come. The Alrick Brown Scholarship Foundation is a testimony to God’s goodness in my life, and I am truly grateful.
